Become a Partner
When you become a financial partner with the Gibsons & District Library Foundation, you are creating and ensuring life-long resources for the Gibsons & District Public Library.
Cash
We gratefully accept donations by cheque, even a post-dated cheque or by money order. If you prefer to make monthly contributions, we can set up an automatic payment plan for you.
Publicly traded bonds, stocks & mutual funds
Your publicly traded investments can become "in-kind" donations. Note that taxation legislation on in-kind donations changed effective May 2, 2006. Now when you donate stocks, bonds or mutual funds, the capital gains on them will not be taxed.
A bequest in a Will
You can name The Gibsons & District Library Foundation as a beneficiary in your will. Such bequests can include cash, publicly traded bonds, stocks, mutual funds and even real estate.
Named beneficiary of a life insurance policy, a segregated fund, an annuity, RRSP or RRIF
With any of the above investments, you can name The Gibsons & District Library Foundation as a beneficiary. You can designate a percentage or a dollar amount of the policy or plan.
A Life Long Library Legacy
Your gift to the Gibsons & District Library Foundation allows us to continue with special programs to address child and adult literacy, to fund services not covered by core funding and to offer support for the growing needs of the library.
